currently loving

toms

Happy Wednesday! I am so excited that fall is officially here. We've had gorgeous weather in central Indiana and Raegan and I have already started wearing oversized sweaters, boots, and festive headbands, so we are happy girls! I wanted to share a few things I'm currently loving. //
My new sweater kimono from Sloane Rouge, I recently discovered them and I am slightly obsessed now. Another shop I recently found, The Petite Harper.  Raegan was chosen as a brand rep for them and holy cute! Headbands, braided leather belts and suede bags for little girls, I can't get enough of this shop. Raegan is wearing the pumpkin inspired headband and this will be our go to headband for the next month. I am so excited and proud to represent such a wonderful, new and upcoming shop. You are amazing Jessica, so excited for you and I wish The Petite Harper TONS of success! Xo.
Pumpkins. We are planning our annual family trips to the apple orchard and pumpkin festival in the next couple of weeks, but Raegan and I couldn't wait any longer to get our hands on some pumpkins! We stopped at a nursery to pick up mums and a few small pumpkins, and had a pumpkin painting party yesterday. I can't wait to finish putting all our fall decor out! It's not too early for Halloween decor, right? ;) Raegan got the KidKraft retro kitchen for her birthday and it's a huge hit! I'd been holding off on getting her any play food/ accessories until her second birthday, when I'd planned on gifting her the kitchen for over a year. As much as she loves the kitchen, she LOVES her shopping cart. I chose this Pottery Barn Kids  one and am so happy with it. She fills it with her favorite animals and accessories and pushes it around all day. She's just the sweetest.
And... those Toms. LOVE! Just ordered and perfect for fall. Can't wait to have them in my closet! Not pictured is the new Freshly Picked Merci moccasins. Just released this week, they are gorgeous and a must have for us. If you know me, you know of my obsession with everything Parisian. I love the Oui Oui too, but the Merci color is everything.

What are some of your current favorites for fall? I'd love to know! Xoxo

Raegan's 2nd Birthday

I still can't believe my baby girl turned TWO this weekend!
We had such a fun weekend celebrating with family and friends. On Saturday (her birthday) we surprised her with birthday donuts and a trip to the Indianapolis zoo. She is obsessed with all things animals and loves hearing and imitating animal sounds, so I knew she would have the best time. We took her to the zoo last year for her first birthday and I thought it would be fun to make the zoo a birthday tradition for these younger years. Plus the weather is always perfect this time of year!
Now that the birthday fun is over I'm ready for FALL!! :)

We celebrated with family and friends at her birthday party on Sunday. I was so thankful for another beautiful day and perfect weather since her party was outdoors at one of our favorite parks. I had envisioned a magical, whimsical purple and gold bohemian themed party, and it ended up not looking anything like I'd planned! :(
 I actually DIYed a lot more than you see in the pictures but could not get anything to stay on these concrete walls! I baked her cake and frosting from scratch that morning so I was already running short on time (party started at 2), and after multiple failed attempts at putting up decor and guests already arriving, I decided to just let it gooooo *frozen voice* and enjoy the afternoon with my loved ones. Talk about a blogging fail though! Ha ha I'm still sad about it.

Watching Raegan playing and having so much fun outside on such a beautiful day, for her birthday, made the party all worth it, and we all had a wonderful and memorable afternoon spent celebrating.
All weekend we asked her how old she was and she'd sweetly shout "TWO!" Our party guests almost died from the cuteness when we asked her at her party.
She had such a great time she didn't have time to have any of her birthday cake! She wouldn't even sit down while we sang Happy Birthday without throwing a fit, I had to hold the cake in front of her. Yeah, the dreaded toddler tantrums have been happening for weeks now in our house. ;)

You can't tell she loves Minnie Mouse at all, right? ;)
She literally got a Minnie Mouse-something from everyone. I'll be sharing more of her gifts in my next blog post!

Happy 2nd birthday Raegan! You are the prettiest, smartest, sweetest and silliest little girl. You are full of joy and love. I will always love to celebrate you and your birth day and no matter your age, you will always be my baby. I love you, sweet girl.

Freshly Picked Moccasins Review + Giveaway

I was so excited to receive Raegan's first pair of Freshly Picked Moccasins for this review!
 If you aren't familiar with Freshly Picked, they are a very trendy and popular brand of 100% genuine leather moccasins for babies and toddlers created by a woman named Susan Peterson. You can read more about her story here.

I chose the platinum moccasins in a size 5, and I am obsessed with them! The color is gorgeous, and goes with everything. I love that they have a sizing chart in inches on their website so you can make sure you are ordering the right size, and they do run true to size. With elastic at the opening, the soft sole moccasins are easy to slip on and off and actually really do stay on your child's feet comfortably and securely. I wish I had had a pair for Raegan's baby days for this reason! With Raegan being almost 2 years old I was a little skeptical of putting her in a soft sole shoe but she loves wearing them and so far they are holding up great! We have worn them to the park, the mall, the bookstore, to ballet, and around the house for fun because we love them so much. Since they are soft sole I was also a little worried that the sole would look dirty and gross after a few wears, and while they do get a little dirty (like any other shoe) I was pleasantly surprised to see my little girls footprint right there on the bottom of the shoe. It is the sweetest little forever keepsake and makes me love these moccasins even more.

With the most amazing customer service I have ever experienced, Freshly Picked is a dream company to work with. I can't say enough great things about them and their moccasins.

In celebration of Raegan turning TWO on Saturday I wanted to do something fun and special for you, my friends and followers, and am hosting my blog's first giveaway!
I am so excited that Freshly Picked has so generously offered one of you the chance to win your own pair of Freshly Picked Moccasins (any size + any color)!

Life Lately + Happy September!

First things first, I apologize for being MIA the last month! We spent August enjoying and soaking up the last of summer. I had also put off blogging due to no extra memory on my macbook and it running soooo slow. Seriously SO. Slow. With 25,000+ photos in my iphoto and 2,000 on my phone I had to take action. I've been putting off saving all my photos onto disks and into photo books for over a year, I just have so many photos to sort though and save, it is overwhelming. I have pretty much every picture of Raegan since she was born stored in my iphoto and the thought of transferring photos, deleting them from my mac, and the possibility of loosing even one picture scares me to death. Any other mama's out there feel the same way?!
Anyway, I purchased a couple of memory sticks and have been saving photos on to those for now. Eventually I will still need to order prints and create photo books, but for now, so far so good. With my phone and mac finally freed up I am back to taking lots of pictures and blogging! :)

Raegan had her fourth ballet class this morning. This year we are taking a Mommy and Me ballet class for 30 minutes, once a week. We LOVE it! Even daddy has been to a class! She is the youngest in her class but is such a good listener and the most independent. She refuses to stand next to mommy but rather right next to her instructor in front of the class. She has so much fun and I love seeing her so happy.

We always have a coffee/apple juice/donut/chocolate croissant/etc. date at Starbucks right after. I've already had my first couple of PSL's {pumpkin spice latte} of the season! :)

We also had our last few pool days of the summer, and I finally bought Raegan a puddle jumper for the pool. I'm disappointed in myself for not buying one earlier in the summer, but I did score it for $12 on clearance at Target and we managed to use it a few times. I can't get over these pictures of her SWIMMING. Basically by herself. Not even two. Can't. Take. It.

Raegan was chosen to be a brand rep for an adorable handmade headband shop called Pretty Little Elm. We received our first package of PLE headbands and they are even sweeter in person! The quality and attention to detail is amazing and the size of the bows are perfect. With the changing seasons and holidays, as a mother to a little girl, I get the most excited for new bows! Especially when they're Halloween inspired. I've already started stocking up and can't wait to dress Raegan up in all her new fall clothes and accessories in the upcoming weeks.

{This photo is the sweetest to me. I bought Raegan this personalized jewelry box
from Pottery Barn Kids for her first Christmas, and we have always used it to hold her favorite
bracelets and little trinkets and memories from our travels together. Last spring Raegan fell in love
 with this jewelry box. I mean, became obsesseddd! Literally every day she will wake up from her nap and will immediately point to and ask for "box. box. box.." I give in every time and get it down for her. She is fascinated with her Euro coins and keys and loves to lock her box. Now their are crayon marks on the inside, the mirror is busted out, the ballerina missing, but none of this really matters to me anymore because this jewelry box is so well loved by this little girl. Something about this box and the treasures inside my dolly adores.
I plan on getting her a new one when she is older and can take better care of it, but will forever hold on to this one for the sweetest times and memories it holds.}

And with that, farewell summer, happy September!
My favorite month, I am so excited to celebrate my doll's second birthday, her party, a trip to the zoo, family pictures, the apple orchard, decorationg for fall, cozy sweaters, boots, and pumpkin flavored everything!
Here's a little peek of what I've been working on for Raegan's second birthday party!

{Confetti//Gold Dipped Feathers}

{DIY Paper Pom Poms + Lanterns // Definitely adding gold poms
as soon as I come across some gold tissue paper!}

And this custom made dreamcatcher from The Things She Sees. Seriously check her etsy shop and blog out now! Megan you are awesome, thank you so much for creating this gorgeousness for us! Xo

I've been planning out her outfit for months. She'll be wearing this gorgeous Tutu Du Monde for pictures and for her party, and for once I am not planning a second outfit choice. This is it. I am obsessed.

Stay tuned for more party prep, our second birthday gift guide, toddler room + playroom updates, and in the midst of all the birthday celebrations next week I am so excited to announce I'll be hosting my very first giveaway!! A pair of Freshly Picked moccs! :)

Xoxo
